In 2012, Joel Cocciolone loaded up his Subaru Outback with his dog and his art supplies, having given away most all his other belongings, and set out from Florida to paint his way across America. His final destination was to be Los Angeles to pursue his passion for film and art on the largest level. He first traveled up the East Coast to Boston and New York to see friends before heading back south to begin his trek across the U.S. He had limited funds so once depleted, he set up along roadways, at events, in popular areas and painted on site, selling his work to raise money for gas and food for him and his dog. It took a year from the time he first pulled out of Bradenton, Florida but he finally arrived in LA where he quickly got to work building relationships, developing films, art and small businesses
